Yes. All foreign vehicles must register the vehicles’s Euro class and fuel type at www.autopass.no/ed in order to be charged the correct rate by toll road operators with environmental differentiation. Failure to register will result in the highest rate in tariff group 1 or 2 being charged.

Environmental differentiation is being introduced for vehicles passing through some toll stations in Norway. The passing fees will be based on the environmental data for each individual vehicle. Initially this will be introduced for the road toll stations in Oslo from 1 October 2017, but will also be introduced later on for other road tolls in Norway. Updated details about where it has been introduced will be available at www.autopass.no.
The Norwegian Public Road Administration has, in collaboration with Euro Parking Collection plc, developed a new application where the end user can register environmental data for their vehicle(s).

No light/ yellow sign: your passage has been registered, but no electronic tag has been detected. If you have an Autopass agreement it will still be registered.

There are several reasons why your tag may not have been detected.
The most common reason is that your tag has not been mounted correctly, make sure you follow the instructions that accompanied your electronic tag.

Electronic equipment such as a rain sensor may interfere with your Autopass tag. Interior sun shading may also interfere with the tag. If you have this you must place your electronic tag in the shaded area usually found behind your rearview mirror.
